I've said it before and I'll say it again, 4 million sheep and 1.5 million people. The lonely nights will soon be but a memory.

The irony of that clip is that Roger Stone could have been easily cast as one of the conspirators in the JFK film. Hell, he wouldn’t even have had to act; just be himself.

I saw a piece on one of his competitors in that race. A guy who wants to build city-owned grocery stores, which wouldn't be profit-motivated, and wouldn't pay rent on their buildings.

I now have two computers, a Mac mini that stays home and a laptop I travel with. I need the cloud to keep them in sync. I also have a physical hard drive backup

@89th said in The dancing clown Bill Burr: I said stop at 1:20! I've never been good at following instructions. Just ask my wife. I really liked Bill Burr's response. This is what everybody should do.

@LuFins-Dad said in 21 random but fascinating scientific facts: So… Did anybody actually try the honey in the pyramids? They did, and expired shortly afterwards due to The Curse of King Tut. Or possibly food poisoning.

@Horace said in Biden lied. Imagine that ...: @Deep-Fakes jon thinks you're GeorgeK, who used to write that phrase. I'm pretty sure it's Tom Cruise.

"Remain single" or "currently single"? That's a big difference.

@Mik said in Better And Faster: Tutoring is an excellent use of AI. I've seen a lot of videos of people being queried about basic knowledge questions - e.g. New York City is in what state? Hawaii is in what country? And a personal favorite of if something costs 65 cents, how much change would you receive from a dollar? There are oodles of people unable to answer those questions. Scary as hell. AI may supplant the need for these voters people and even the people who can answer the questions. I love that AI can tailor things to a specific person. A lot of college students are using AI to not only succinctly summarize notes - but come up with flash card like means to help study. In college, I both learned and later taught statistics - where a lot of the time was devoted to derivation and calculation. A generation later - all of that was unnecessary as software allowed one to focus on the more important issue of interpretation. Now, even that is being supplanted.

Thanks Kluurs. Argerich remains my top favourite living pianist. I have yet to be disappointed by any of her solo recordings out there. Interesting what the article has to say about her relationship to Schumann’s music. I would have never thought that.
